10/1/25 TigerConnect Go-Live - UB/Clin Spec

October 1, 2025

Pharmacists,

As Janssen has mentioned in emails today, the official go-live for TigerConnect is tomorrow10/1/25. Because the physician utilization and roll-out is ongoing, we expect the use of the system to evolve and change rapidly over the next month. We will provide updates weekly to you all to help guide you and keep you informed on what we know.

Beginning tomorrowpharmacists should begin opting into their assigned roles as defined on our deployment documents. These have been updated with a column for TigerConnect. The goal over the next few weeks is for us to be a consistent example of how the platform and the roles should function. I want our pharmacists to be available to be contacted easily on the platform. For now, we are not recommending reaching out to providers unless they reach out to you first or tell you they prefer TigerConnect over their traditional communication methods. I fully expect that TigerConnect will largely replace many of our other communications in the future, but we want to allow the physicians time to adjust and get everything sorted out on their end.

Some nuances to consider:
  • Desktop App: Please refer to Janssen's FAQ document to locate the instructions to download the desktop app on your computer. I highly recommend this, as it provides you with notifications and makes multitasking much easier.
  • First shift(including Central): roles should be self-explanatory. Opt in to your assigned roles when you get here and be sure to opt out when you leave.
  • Clin Specs: Opt into the role for your unit when you arrive. Please opt out when you leave for the day.
  • Q's (Surgery): You will be a part of the Surgery Pharm Team. You will automatically be part of the appropriate team if you opt into your assigned roles (zHH Inpt Pharm SURGERY).
  • Lunch Coverage: you can either 1) set an away message in your role ("I am away for lunch until 12:30. If urgent please call 7-xxxx." or something similar) or 2) have the person covering your lunch opt into the role you were in. There are benefits to both methods so do whatever makes the most sense for your situation.
  • Second shift: Opt in to your role at 3pm. You will automatically be part of the AFTER HOURS Team if you opt into your assigned role. Please refer to the deployment document for the name of the roles you should opt into.
  • Midnights: You will also be part of the AFTER HOURS Team. Please opt into an open AFTER HOURS pharmacist role (zHH Inpt Pharm AFTER HOURS) when you arrive. When you take over Madison, you will also need to opt into a pharmacist role for the Madison AFTER HOURS team (zMH Inpt Pharm AFTER HOURS).
  • Weekends: Weekend-specific instructions will be sent out on Thursday or Friday to this same group.
I am working remotely tomorrow but you can contact me on my cell (256-684-6813) if you need anything or have any questions. Morgan and Alexis will be piloting the Hospitalist Rounding and may not be available for urgent issues.

Thanks,
