9/25/25 Duplicate PRN Sentri-7 Rule

September 25, 2025

Pharmacists,

As stated previously in Main UB/Clin Spec huddle, we have created a new Sentri-7 rule to help us identify and eliminate duplicate PRN orders for bowel medications, as this is the class with the most duplicates found (by far) on the most recent audit. This rule is located in a new tab titled, "Duplicates." The following comment is included in the comments section of the rule: "If no duplicates found (or if resolved), please review as 'never' to decrease number of future triggers."

Beginning tomorrow9/26/25pharmacists (at HH Main) are expected to complete this tab as part of their daily Sentri7 responsibilities on weekdays. Please continue to try to eliminate duplicate PRNs of other classes as well. We will determine if additional rules need to be added moving forward. Please let us know if you have any questions or identify any issues with the rule.
Thanks,
