9/16/25 LORazepam injection ongoing shortage
September 16, 2025
Our wholesaler is currently out of LORazepam injection, and the manufacturer is not shipping new product. Our current supply will last approximately one month at current usage and shipments are not expected to resume until December 2025.
To preserve supply for critical situations, the HH Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee has standing approval for the following temporary restrictions for adult patients:
Adult use limited to:
Treatment of active seizures
No restrictions apply to pediatric patients at this time
Alternatives available
We have an adequate supply of:
Diazepam oral and injection (although supply has dropped sharply)
Midazolam injection (in approved settings)
Ordering impact
Orders for LORazepam injection in adult patients not meeting the above criteria may result in a delay of care, as pharmacists will reject these orders and contact the prescriber for an alternative therapy.
We will notify you immediately when the LORazepam injection supply returns to normal. Thank you in advance for your understanding and for complying with these temporary restrictions.
