8/13/25 Methadone BACKORDER - Update

Pharmacists,

 

We are comfortable with our current supply to begin allowing methadone oral liquid to be used in patients for the indication of pain (oncology, palliative, etc), as those doses are mostly small volume. Please continue to convert all possible orders for methadone oral liquid to tablets for the indication of opioid dependence. We will continue to provide updates as the backorder situation evolves.
