Our organization is implementing TigerConnect Messenger (CCP) and TigerConnect Scheduling (TCPS) as our new unified communication and collaboration platform.  

  

Why do we have TigerConnect

The goal of TigerConnect is to improve communication across our organization, allowing you to do what you need to do! TigerConnect allows you to:

·       Text care team members in a secure, HIPAA-compliant way 

·       See when messages are delivered and read 

·       Set Do Not Disturb auto-replies 

·       Forward messages and send priority messages 

·       Recall errant messages 

·       Auto-delete messages after a set amount of time

·       Send group or broadcast messages 

·       Attach images and documents 

·       Message Roles or Teams

o       Roles in TigerConnect enable persona-based messaging, allowing you to search for and message someone by the Role that person is occupying.

 

How do I access TigerConnect Messenger (CCP)

You can access your individual account via mobile device, web browser, or desktop application. Since TigerConnect can be on your phone, please be cognizant of the appearance to patients, families, and visitors who may misunderstand when they see us texting. Please communicate to our guests that this is a secure, professional communication platform for the care team.  

How does the TigerConnect Messenger (CCP) application interact with the TigerConnect Scheduling (TCPS) application?

Schedulers will enter call schedules into TigerConnect Scheduling, which will auto-populate Roles in the TigerConnect Messenger application based on those scheduled shift times. As a result, staff will be able to message designated Roles directly within Messenger without even needing to reference call schedules, making communication more efficient!

What’s Next

TigerConnect will be deployed across the organization on October, 1 2025. You will receive a Welcome Email providing you with instructions and links on how to download the application and activate your account. Please activate your account as soon as possible after receiving that email. Following your activation, you can immediately start messaging your colleagues! You can refer to your facility secure messaging policy for more details on how and when TigerConnect should be used. Please note that while TigerConnect helps to facilitate patient-centric communication, messages are not part of the medical record and should not replace documentation!

There are decisions remaining regarding the use/capacity of TigerConnect communication tool and where it may be implemented initially.  While I know a majority of Pharmacists are excited about this new communication tool, I wanted to let you know that more detail is forthcoming and will likely be limited in scope for Pharmacy at initial kick-off.  More information and training will be forthcoming.  Thank you for your patience.
