8/4/25 Lantus shortage

We are currently experiencing a shortage of Lantus insulin. 
We are in the process of building inventory of Semglee and its generic version and will use them interchangeably for Lantus orders. 
Unfortunately these items are on allocation and we cannot order enough to sustain Pyxis storage throughout the hospital at this time. 

 

Today we will remove all Lantus from Pyxis and begin dispensing individual doses from PSP. 
 
New orders may need to be picked up from PSP, and existing orders will be prepared in a batch and delivered to nursing unit refrigerators.
Communication will be sent to nursing to notify them of this change.
