4/10/25 TF updates

April 10, 2025

As mentioned in the post huddle clinical specialist meeting, the tube feed notes and way we process clinically stable patients will be changing soon.

The current policy is likely NOT to be updated for the 'stable' patient criteria.  The current policy reads: Enteral feeding management* with daily monitoring and follow-up.  My interpretation - this does NOT imply nor state that we do a daily note; thus no policy change for this reason is needed.

Katie is working on note changes hopefully to be ready by next Monday 4/14 to go live with changes.  Dietitians have a group meeting on Tuesday of next week and I hope we can announce it has changed then.

I left one thing off yesterday I believe that can be helpful.  The "Clinical Pharmacist Summary, Pharmacist Workflow" tab has an "Intake and Output" section that will make review of I/Os faster on 'stable' patients that would only have notes written Monday Wednesday Friday.  Also, if you are unaware, you can easily move the listed sections up or down on this pharmacist workflow tab so that the useful items for you are available first. [hold the left mouse button down and move up or down on the list].  If you click 'Intake and Output' blue header - it will move you to the usual view for the last 24 hours.

Additional written education will be provided as we move through the process of progress note changes and writing notes only 3 times per week on stable patients.

I've also attached the meeting minutes that some of us had with the dietitians in case you want to know more information.

Let me know if you have questions.
