11/26/24 New Micromedex Unified Application

November 26, 2024

Hello everyone,

Micromedex is transitioning to a single unified mobile application instead of separate apps, and this unified app is now available for both Apple and Android devices. It currently includes everything from the Drug Reference, Drug Interactions, and IV Compatibility apps; NeoFax and Pediatrics are still separate at this time, but they are planned to be incorporated as well by early 2025. Unlike the previous versions which required updating a passcode yearly, the new app does not require any updating to the authentication; once the app is active, you won't have to activate it again. Ultimately, the old apps will be phased out. I am told that the individual apps will no longer be operational after February 1, 2025.

Below is a link to the app and instructions on how to activate your access:

Activating Access:

Step 1: Open Micromedex on a hospital computer and click “Mobile Application Access”

Step 2: Under Micromedex Mobile Apps Access, click “Follow the link to activate new mobile app”

Step 3: Open the Micromedex app on your mobile device. Type the activation code from your mobile device into the computer and click “Activate Device.” You will see a confirmation that the device is activated.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
