11/22/24 Blank Documentation Notes/Scans

For several months we have been investigating with Cerner sporadic issues related to files within the “Documentation” section of Powerchart sometimes showing up blank for Pharmacist users.  Often this preceded a crash of the Powerchart application itself, typically when attempting to subsequently create a new Clinical/Progress Note on a patient’s profile.

 

After investigation with Cerner representatives and testing with affected users, we found that removing the “Documentation List” iView Navigator Band from the “Interactive View and I&O” section of the chart prevents this error from recurring.  If you are experiencing this issue, please perform the following steps:

 

  1. Navigate to “Interactive View and I&O” in Powerchart on a sample patient.
  2. In the top of the Powerchart window select ViewàLayoutàNavigator Bands
  3. Under Current Document Types (right side of screen) box move “document list” from the right to left to remove it from the default navigator band list
