  1. On ORTHO Periop Powerplans that default LR currently [Powerplans listed below]
  2. Added a defaulted (pre-checked) NS drip order at 30 mL/hr (no comment).  On the current LR order, which would remains pre-selected, added a comment of “Due to critical IV Fluid backorder, only use LR if NS is unavailable.”
  3.       Note: This means the patient would have 2 active fluid orders in PreOp phase, but it would accommodate future situations where LR and NS supply may be variable in different areas, with a preference for the NS product.
  4. On ANES Anesthesia Orders Phased Powerplan-Post Op Anesthesia Orders Phase
  5. Un-select LR order that is currently pre-selected
  6. PAIN Center Powerplans: Procedure Orders/PAIN Implantation PeriOp Phased
  7. PAIN Procedure Orders: Added pre-selected NS drip, NS bolus with comment “If LR unavailable…”
