Medications not yet evaluated by P&T are considered NON-FORMULARY . . . . . Always check 2 unique patient identifiers - NAME and DATE OF BIRTH - at every step! . . . . . Please be sure to document all clinical activities daily.

8/28/24 PyxisES 5 Character Search Tuesday, Sept 10: Nursing Education Tip Sheet

The attached document is being distributed to Nursing this week in preparation of activating 5 character search requirement at PyxisES devices on Tuesday, September 10th.  This character search requirement will be effective when removing medications at either a Non-Profiled Device or via Override at a Profiled device at HH/HBH/HWC/MH (Madison County) campuses.

 

I am providing the Nursing tip sheet to all Pharmacy staff as an FYI in case you hear of any questions.
