All FEIBA discontinue, void, and cancel orders now require a verification by pharmacy. This change was made to hopefully give us every opportunity to cut down on wasted doses, as there have been several instances of FEIBA being prepared only to find out the physician discontinued the order. If you see a FEIBA discontinue order, please contact relevant parties to let them know, including pharmacists at the bedside, who may be preparing the dose (e.g. Main ED) or PSP, for doses >2500 units.
