Subject: Huddles for next week - & IMPORTANT CHANGES

Please see attached Huddles for next week.

MAJOR CHANGE for HUDDLES...after input from pharmacists and after consultation with Joycelyn Craighead, VP of Quality, we are going to make a change in our Main UB/Clin Spec/Resident/TOC pharmacist Huddles. Beginning July 31, in-person Huddles will be held Mondays and Wednesdays; Friday's "Huddle" will be sent out via e-mail. We are looking for space for the Monday Huddle; the Wednesday Huddle will continue to be held in the Bridge Classroom at 2 pm. Other functional areas are free to continue daily Huddles or modify their schedule based on input from their respective managers.

This change will continue to provide opportunities for team members to attend a daily Huddle somewhere on the downtown campus, but adds flexibility for each area based on team needs. I will continue to send out limited information to be included in your Huddles, but not to the extent I have been doing in the past - this will leave supervisors and managers for each area responsible for directing much of the content of their Huddles (which many already do!). For the Friday email "Huddle," I will send the info to ALL pharmacists and will include Jill's Great Catches and Pharmacy-related med events pages.

I would also like to ask all managers to please send each other (and me) info from their area that needs to be widely disseminated. This may also include team accomplishments (publications, awards, promotions, certifications, etc.) in addition to pertinent operational and direct patient care info. There will be a special focus on CLOSING THE LOOP - following up on questions, concerns, suggestions, etc., since this issue has been voiced by several of our pharmacists.

If you have questions or concerns, please let me know. I will work with Steven Tate to determine how we can best archive the Huddle documents from ALL areas on FormWeb.
