SmartZoneAlert-HAZMED_EducationReference

Effective Monday, May 1 a new kind of alert will show in Cerner Powerchart for Nursing, Respiratory, and Pharmacy staff when a patient has an active order for a hazardous medication.  Please see attached flyer for more information about this alert.

It is expected this ‘SmartZone’ alert may be employed for other notifications in the future, but we are first starting with displaying Hazardous Drug notifications to communicate USP 800 hazardous drug handling standards.

If you encounter any issues with this alert once it is live, please let us know. Thank you.
