Subject: HH Main Resident Weekends

Pharmacists,

As our residents approach their final stretch of trainings, we have been in constant discussion regarding the "tED" position. The initial design was for residents to manage the ED on their weekend mornings to develop their skills and confidence levels with a wide variety of high acuity patients. After hearing feedback and reviewing departmental logistics, it has been determined that we will place the tED position on hold at this time. The residents will be switched back to staffing UB positions on the weekends. Weekend staffing will remain every third weekend and how we manage extra pharmacists on weekends will be under review. Residents will be assigned to a UB pharmacist on their current weekend and train as we have historically done for our previous classes.

PGY1 Residents: We will begin this adjustment on the upcoming weekend (8/20-8/21). I will be meeting with you this week to go over these updates. Please review Schedule Anywhere for any adjustments.
