Subject: Oral Chemo unit-dosed by BMT/PSP Pharmacy

Please refer to attached image.

BMT/PSP has begun to unit-dose chemo that is not available in unit-dose packaging from the manufacturer. This packaging will consist of a bubble package enclosed in a clear, heat-sealed plastic baggie . DO NOT REMOVE the bubble package from the heat-sealed plastic baggie.....the nurse will remove the bubble package from the heat-sealed plastic baggie once he/she is properly garbed. The plastic baggie is an important part of the packaging that protects personnel from coming in contact with chemo particles that could potentially be on the outside of the bubble package.

Most oral chemo is loadable into Pyxis. The heat-sealed plastic baggie containing the bubble package is to be loaded into the pocket....do NOT remove the bubble package from the baggie.

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks, Becky
