Everyone,

 

Due to the shortages of lidocaine products, we are beginning to load lidocaine 1% PF 2 mL ampules/vials into all OR and procedural area Pyxis machines (including A-systems). There are still some lingering vial sizes in some procedural areas, but once those run out, our only option is the 2 mL ampules for a 1% plain product. We do currently have lidocaine 2% PF 5mL vials in stock as another option if needed. 

 

Additionally, we have some stock of the Lidocaine with Epi 1% vials, but those will need to be used judiciously. The procedural areas have been encouraged to utilize bupivacaine with epi in its place when able to help preserve the remaining stock of Lidocaine with epi.
