Subject: MVI shortage

We are experiencing yet another multivitamin infusion shortage. Starting tomorrow we will need to make the following adjustments.

 

1. Please collaborate with physicians to switch adult TPN patients to oral/enteral tube multivitamin tablets/capsules, when possible.

2. In non-critically ill patients, please limit MVI TPN additions to 5 mL daily.

 

These measures will help stretch our supply for 1-2 weeks. We will keep you posted on any updates.
