2/2/22 dc amiodarone IV shortage

Subject: amiodarone IV shortage

I wanted to make sure that everyone knew about the amiodarone IV shortage. The Nexterone pre-mixed bags are VERY short and PSP will have to begin making some drips. They are also having trouble getting the appropriate bags, so a change in bag size (same concentration) MAY be necessary - they will let you know if a change is made.

All this said, please conserve amiodarone IV as much as possible, recommending switching to oral when clinically appropriate. DAVID
