Subject: Hybrid Positions

Huntsville Main Pharmacy is seeking to fill available positions in the hybrid pool.  The purpose of the hybrid program is to provide opportunities for pharmacists to perform both UB and clinical specialist activities.  The goal of the program is to provide each hybrid with two shifts per pay period in a clinical specialist role (generally, ICU).  A hybrid pharmacist is expected to perform all the tasks of clinical pharmacists plus the following specialist tasks:
 
-- Identify, implement, and monitor projects and programs proactively
-- Participate in MUE, PDCA projects
-- Precept residents and students
-- Serve on hospital committees and workgroups as requested
-- Manage NSS as well as PKS consults
-- Provide education as assigned in the form of inservices, staff developments, newsletter and Huddle contributions
 
Requirements/Expectations:
-- PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical experience
-- PGY-1 and PGY-2 experience strongly preferred
-- BCPS certification within 2 years of starting hybrid role
-- Meet ASHP preceptor requirements as soon as possible
