Subject: Fwd: azithromycin IVPB

Hello all,
We are experiencing a shortage of add-vantage bags in NS and D5W and currently have an estimated 5-day supply.  In an effort to conserve our add-vantage stock for Vancomycin 1gram orders we will start preparing azithromycin IVPBs in PSP.
PharmIT Has made the changes in Cerner to reflect a PSP preparation for all new orders. The existing active orders will need to be changed to route labels in PSP.  Can you please check your Sentri7 notifications to see if you have any patients in your area?
We anticipate this disruption will last 3-4 weeks until we are able to rebuild our fluid inventory. We will notify you when we revert back to add-vantage and need orders modified again.

If there are any questions or concerns, please let us know.
