Subject: ED and Inpatient COVID Vaccine Update

Beginning tomorrow (10/30/21), we will no longer offer the COVID vaccine to inpatients, ED patients, or patients in the behavioral health units. 
 
  • We will no longer load COVID vaccines in Pyxis.
  • PSP will no longer prepare individual vaccine doses. 
  • COVID vaccines will not be orderable in Cerner starting next week. If you happen to get an order for the COVID vaccine in Cerner after today, discontinue the order and notify the prescriber that it is no longer available. 
Huntsville Hospital will continue to offer the Pfizer COVID vaccine to employees via employee health and to the general public by appointment at the John Hunt Park Vaccine Clinic on Mondays & Wednesdays 8am-4pm and Tuesdays & Thursdays 1200pm - 5pm. 
 
The Moderna vaccine is available at the Med Mall Pharmacy on Wednesdays 9am - 5pm. No appointment needed.
