Subject: aluminum hydroxide 320mg/5mL suspension

Aluminum hydroxide (AMPHOJEL) 320mg/5mL suspension is currently on backorder with no definite return date. This product has been unflexed and can longer be ordered through Cerner. Due to the infrequent use of the medication and lack of therapeutic equivalent products available, pharmacists should contact the provider during this shortage to assess the drug indication and recommend another therapeutic option based on clinical judgment.
