Pharmacist Deployment SIVELY WKND Update 8_2021

Sivley Tower Tube_Phone list

Good afternoon,

Sively Tower (ST) will officially open MondayAugust 23rd. The plan is to begin taking patients over and moving procedural areas in various phases. Starting Friday 8/20, the Ortho OR will begin moving into ST with plans to begin surgery cases on Monday (8/23). Patients from 5NE/5NW will be transferred over starting Sunday (8/22) to 3-ST, so be mindful you may start seeing activity in ST that evening.

In regards to pharmacist deployment, the UB 2 and UB 7 will be stationed at Sively Tower on the 3rd floor (3-ST) during the week and on weekends starting Monday (8/23). That pharmacist will be performing IV fluid checks that will be distributed throughout Sively Tower. The Central fluid tech will coordinate with the pharmacist to streamline the checking process during the time frame(s) listed below. The Sively tower units (2-5 ST) will be the assigned Sentri7s for the UB 2 and UB 7. ClinSpecs will manage all NSS/PKS consults for ST at this time. The pharmacist in SICU will be the designated ClinSpec responding to ST codes and Central pharmacy will bring a code bag to the necessary units. The UB 2 will continue to manage 4NE/4MST on the weekends.

HH Main Deployment Updates: UB 2/7 will now verify and manage PKS consults for 4N/4NW. UB 3/8 will now verify and review Sentri7s for 4E/4W/5E/5W, while managing the PKS consults for 5E/5W. UB 11 will take over order responsibilities for 4MST and they've been assigned Sentri7s/code coverage for 4N/4NW.

COVID Unit Updates: With 5MST remaining a COVID unit at this time, the UB2/7 will continue to verify orders and manage Sentri7s for those patients, while CCU-II will handle the NSS/PKS consults. The UB 10 will be assigned code coverage for 5MST on 2nd shift. Please refer to the previous communication regarding changes with 3NE and 7T.

PPMs/G. Belzer Lists:  PharmIT will be updating PPMs late Sunday (8/22) afternoon. G. Belzer lists (CCU-II, Huntsville Main ALL Units) have already been updated.

Peri-Op Tracking: Those that are activating Ortho/Spine/Joint (UB 7, UB 9) will need to switch to the "S1OR/S2OR Pharmacy" tab to ensure all Peri-Ops are initiated. Additionally, the Ws over the weekend will need to use "HHMain Pharmacy" and "S1OR/S2OR Pharmacy" to complete Peri-Ops. Plans are underway to find a way to combine these two tabs, but for now please utilize both tabs in order to activate all Peri-Ops.

Sively Tower Badge Reader: Those positions that are stationed at Sively Tower will be able to use the badge readers located in the building to clock-in for your shift. We ask that all other employees that are not stationed in ST continue utilizing previously approved Kronos time clocks.
