Subject: COVID vaccine for ED process change

 
Process update:
  • PSP will draw up individual vaccine doses in syringes every day at 0900 and 1500.
  • The "1"  will pick up the vaccine from PSP every day at 0900 and 1500 and will immediately take them to POD C to refill Pyxis. 
  • The "6" will be responsible for outdating and removing expired vaccine from  Pyxis at 2100.
  • Patient-specific doses required after 2100 will be prepared by PSP and picked up by ED staff
  • Reconstituted vaccine vials should be labeled with a 6 hour BUD and saved for subsequent orders.
This will begin Friday, August 13 starting at 9am.
