Subject: alvimopan protocol change

Effective immediately, do NOT automatically discontinue alvimopan (ENTEREG) after a BM. If you feel that it would be appropriate to stop alvimopan, contact the prescriber and let him/her know. We are working on a process to send notifications to prescribers regarding alvimopan duration, but until that is developed, please do NOT automatically discontinue any of these orders. DAVID
