Electrolyte Protocol Updates and Tips

Good afternoon,

We will be going live with the updated adult electrolyte protocol tomorrow, June 29th. I have attached a tip sheet that reviews some of the updates. 

  • NOTE: if Nutrition Support Service (NSS) is consulted, the pharmacist should initiate the electrolyte protocol (co-sign required) if not already initiated

Please feel free to use the test patient "ZZZCERNER,CERNERONE" in production to become familiar with these updates. Any orders entered under this test patient need to be voided (including non-pharmacy orders).
