Good Afternoon All,

Just a friendly reminder that adult multivitamin (MVI) injection is not fully back in stock.
Please reference Mickala's email below on how to properly handle MVI in our adult TPNs.
In non-critically ill patients, please limit MVI TPN additions to MWF only if possible.
We will send out updates as they become available.
Thank you for your continued help with this matter.

Sincerely,
Eric Franks, Pharm.D.

Subject: Adult Intravenous Multivitamin Shortage

Good afternoon.

Adult multivitamin (MVI) injection is on backorder, with likely delays into January and beyond. We have approximately a two-week supply on hand.

1. Please collaborate with physicians to switch adult TPN patients to oral/enteral tube multivitamin tablets/capsules, as able.

2. Starting tomorrow, 12/22, in non-critically ill patients, please limit MVI TPN additions to MWF only.

We are currently working with PharmIT to remove MVI from the banana bag. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you.
