Subject: Asymptomatic Bacteriuria Education

Good morning pharmacists,

I am currently working on a project that aims to reduce the inappropriate treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria. In an effort to accomplish this, the Antimicrobial Management Team (AMT) has collaborated with the microbiology department and the Infectious Diseases Subcommittee to implement a microbiology comment on urine cultures growing less than one hundred thousand colony forming units of bacteria.

I have prepared an educational video to describe the intricacies of the project. It is also accompanied by a pre/post survey to gauge baseline knowledge prior to the education and effectiveness of the video. If possible, please participate in the surveys as well as view the video by Friday, February 19th. I appreciate your help with this project and your service to our patients at HH!
