Subject: VALPROATE SHORTAGE

CRITICAL SHORTAGE      

 

We have experienced a surge of Valproate injection usage and have exhausted our supply.  We have 4 patients receiving doses today and have only enough vials to complete our next batch this afternoon.

We will need to suggest oral forms of Valproic Acid if possible, or alternative agents to manage these patients.

We will not receive any further supply until early Spring.  Please do not verify any new orders.
