Hey all,

Within Pharmacy Autotexts are primarily used in Documentation -> Clinical Notes (i.e. Progress notes) or Message Center. Autotexts are limited in use for Pharmacy because we cannot use them within PowerForms (e.g. Interventions) or Order Comments/Product Notes (although IT can build comma phrases for the latter).

That being said, we just added the Copy Autotext tool to PowerChart to make it easier for staff to share ideas for use in Progress Notes (e.g. tube feeds, education) and possibly request IT make those Autotexts public for department use.  The tool should be at the end of your toolbar for pharmacists and pharmacy students, and lets you view personal Autotexts any user in the system has created, copy them and rename them for your own personal library, and compare them against your own Autotexts.

The user search is a little finicky in that it wants to immediately search for the user when directly typing in the search box so I recommend clicking the search button first

Once you find a user you can preview and copy their personal autotexts to your own library and access the Manage Auto Text function from this screen.  Anytime you make changes it may ask you to log out and automatically log back in.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems with this tool!
