Sunitinib (Sutent) is not on the UNC Health Medication Formulary and is not readily available to dispense for hospital or clinic use. Requests for use in the hospital or clinic must go through non-formulary, patient-supplied, or other pathways, as appropriate. Outpatient prescriptions for this medication may be filled through specialty retail pharmacies, such as the UNC SSC Specialty Pharmacy, pending insurance approval.
