Temporary Situational Shortages
IV Fluids (250-1000 mL) Baxter’s manufacturing plant in North Carolina experienced extensive damage in the wake of flooding generated by Hurricane Helene.  This plant is the primary manufacturing site for large-volume IV fluids (LVPs), irrigation fluids, and dialysis fluids.  Fluid types impacted include sodium chloride, lactated ringers.  The shortage of LVPs is having extensive downstream effects on small-volume IV fluids and on several premixed bags.  Refer to this link to get the most recent updates provided by Baxter.
