For Medication Administration purposes when indicated by compatibility of other infusing medications or when no primary line available add:
Insert separate Saline Lock for Zosyn extended infusion. May use 1% Lidocaine (Xylocaine) at site, with 0.9% Sodium Chloride 500 ml TKO to flush before and after Zosyn infusion.
