  • Indication: Maintenance of normal sinus rhythm [delay in time to recurrence of atrial fibrillation/atrial flutter in patients with symptomatic AFIB/AFL] who are currently in sinus rhythm; treatment of life-threatening ventricular tachycardia
  • Service line: pediatric cardiology
  • Formulary location: inpatient
  • Service location: inpatient
  • Patient population: pediatrics
  • Prior authorization required: none
  • Restriction/criteria of use (all will apply unless specified):
    • NPO
    • Does not tolerate oral sotalol
    • Uncontrolled by other peds IV alternatives (i.e., amiodarone, procainamide)
