For fixed dosing in adult patients: Prothrombin complex concentrate, human (Kcentra) is dosed based on Factor IX content which varies per actual Kcentra vial. Ochsner Health will round Kcentra vials to the nearest 500 units (i.e., use 500 units/vial for actual range 400-620 Factor IX units/vial and 1,000 units/vial for actual range 800-1,240 Factor IX units/vial).
