Restricted: Flovent is restricted to pediatric patients

Recommendations:

  1. For Adults: convert Flovent 44mcg, 110mcg and 220mcg utilization to Arnuity 50mcg, 100mcg and 200mcg and add Arnuity to formulary as the inhaled corticosteroid for the control and prevention of asthma.
  2. For Pediatrics: Restrict Flovent (0.44mg/1 actuation, 0.11 mg/1 actuation, and 0.22mg/1 actuation to pediatric patients who cannot perform proper technique with a dry powder inhaler (DPI)
