  • Indication: treatment of hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia and ventilator- associated bacterial pneumonia (HABP/VABP), caused by susceptible isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii-calcoaceticus complex
  • Service line: Infectious Diseases

  • Prior authorization required: No
  • Restriction/criteria of use (all will apply unless specified):
    • Infectious Disease Consult, prescribing restricted to Infectious Disease (ID) providers OR approval by the system ID/ASP team
      AND
    • Treatment of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumanii infections where ampicillin/sulbactam is not clinically indicated
