Restricted to the following indications (1) and/or (2): 

(1) Acute flare of gout: 

  • Duration of therapy: 3-5 days 
  • Have refraction Refractory/Failure to Conventional therapy (e.g., second line therapy) during current/active admission 
  • Have intolerance of/contraindications to conventional therapy: o NSAID: 
    • Colchicine: 
    • Glucocorticoid: 

(2) MIS-C 

  • Duration of therapy: 5-10 days 

AND 

  • Negative TB test within the last 3 months 

AND one of the following: 

  • Ordered by a rheumatology provider for acute gout flares 
  • Consider rheumatology consult for pediatric indication (i.e., MIS-C)
