Zometa (zoledronic acid 4 mg/5 ml): For OUTpatients with hypercalcemia of malignancy, Paget's disease, etc. For INpatients, call MD suggesting pamidronate (Aredia) for osteoporosis, hypercalcemia of malignancy, etc.
Reclast (zoledronic acid 5 mg/5 ml): Restricted to OUTpatient use only WITH an indication of osteoporosis. All other OUTpatient orders for zoledronic acid will be dispensed using Zometa 4 mg.
