During times of drug shortages, Potassium Chloride and Potassium Acetate may be interchanged by pharmacy per protocol.  See 900.6600  

Potassium Chloride 20 to 40 mEq/L may be given via hypodermoclysis (HDC, aka subcutaneous infusion). See Procedure 904.4991
