For inpatients in the 2021-22 season, pharmacy will be providing the following vaccines:

  • FluLaval quadrivalent 0.5 mL syringe which is approved for patients greater than 6 months of age.  The 0.5 mL dose is approved for both adult and pediatric populations.  This is an expansion of the age indication for FluLaval Quadrivalent previously licensed for ≥3 years, to ≥6 months.  There will be no 0.25 mL syringes/doses required for our pediatric population.  
  • Fluzone HD quadrivalent 0.5mL syringe which is approved for patients 65 years of age or older

FluLaval Quadrivalent must be stored under refrigeration.  See manufacturer storage guidelines for recommendations outside of refrigeration temperatures (above 8°C [46°F]).
