  • burning/stinging/redness at injection site (injection site reaction)
  • rash, hives, itchy skin (allergic reaction)
  • face/throat swelling

Privigen is the preferred IVIG product at Legacy.

See P&T Approved Weight Used for Dosing and Rounding:  IVIG is on the therapeutic interchange protocol, and pharmacists adjust IVIG orders to dose based on 
ideal body weight (or actual body weight, if less than IBW) and round to the nearest 5 gm. Exceptions: pediatric doses < 20 grams→ round to the nearest 1 gram.
