Additional Information:

Hydrocortisone 1% and 2.5% ointments are the formulary agent of choice for low potency topical steroids. See Therapeutic Interchange.
NOTE: Topical corticosteroids are only stocked as ointments.  Orders for creams/lotions will be changed to ointment.

Hydrocortisone 2.5% rectal cream will be substituted for for any rectal hydrocortisone strength ordered.
