ceftriaxone

  • diarrhea
  • rash, hives, itchy skin (allergic reaction)
  • face/throat swelling

Ceftriaxone is the injectable 3rd generation cephalosporin formulary agent of choice. 

Ceftriaxone may be given via hypodermoclysis (HDC/subcutaneous infusion). See Procedure 904.4991
