Reminder: Calcium carbonate 1 g = elemental calcium 400 mg = calcium 20 mEq = calcium 10 mmol

Calcium carbonate is ordered in Epic as "elemental" calcium.  Pharmacy carries 500 mg elemental  tablets which is equivalent to 1250 mg calcium carbonate. See Therapeutically Speaking Volume 60
