melphalan (Evomela) – Non-formulary, not stocked.  This formulation of melphalan injection offers increased stability but is more expensive.  It was decided that the stability advantage was not worth the additional price considering our current procedures.  The older, less expensive form of parenteral melphalan should be used instead of Evomela.
