Huntsville Hospital will not supply inpatients with oral contraceptives for the use of contraception.

Inpatients may use home supply of an oral contraceptive if necessary.

 

Available products available for alternative indications (e.g., menopause or abnormal uterine bleeding): estradiol-norethidrone (Activella), ethinyl estradiol-norgestrel (Low-Ogestrel), & norethidrone (Aygestin)

Contact prescriber if non-formulary oral contraceptive is ordered for use other than contraception to discuss the use of above formulary agents.
