Penicillin G Benzathine use is restricted to patients with confirmed congenital syphilis and syphilis in pregnancy (risk of congenital syphilis). Extencilline (benzathine benzylpencillin) is available as an automatic interchange for Penicillin G Benzathine if necessary/available. Estimates for return of normal supply of Bicillin-LA is Oct/Nov 2025.
