HFH is currently experiencing a CRITICAL shortage of IV acyclovir.

To conserve supply, IV acyclovir will be restricted to patients with herpes meningitis or encephalitis.

Recommendations for HSV and VZV prophylaxis and treatment can be found in the transplant prophylaxis protocols and renal dosing guidelines, available in the OneHenry policy portal or the HFH antimicrobial stewardship website.
